It could well be one of the most underrated fast food outlet. Was surprised to find that it has only one branch here in Gulf Mall. Or atleast that’s the only one listed on Zomato.
After a bit of shopping we were looking for a light dinner option. Wasn’t at all in the mood for another KFC or McD so just walked over to this small outlet and took a look at their menu. The prices turned out to be reasonable and we ordered shrimp and chicken dumplings and Chicken Katsodun.
The staff informed us that the shrimp might take some time and asked if we are willing to wait (bonus – customer oriented service) Since we were quite hangry and in a hurry we just settled for the chicken dumplings.
Oh my! The dumplings were so so good. I could have platefuls of them for all three meals for days. Firstly, no chickeny smell common in dimsums, second tender and so well steamed, no lumpy floury taste in the batter, perfectly balanced and most pleasantly tasting of ginger. It was served with three sauces – never mind whatever you dipped it in – its so damn delicious!
The chicken Katsodun was an awesome one too. The breaded chicken was lightly spicy and the chicken breast was juicy. The teriyaki sauce and rice combo complemented it really well.
They have a few more items on their menu including spring rolls and tempura shrimps under small bites, different noodle box, curry rice box with two options – Indian & Thai and even a kid’s menu with two interesting entrees! Can’t wait to try out these items the next time we are in gulf mall. I hope they live up to the expectations. The bar is already raised.
